Course Synopsis

Certified Medical Administration Assistant is a vital part of the healthcare team. These professionals often work at the front desk of health care facilities such as hospitals, doctor’s office and medical practices. CMAAs greet patients, update patient records (EHR), schedule appointments, order supplies, answer calls, review and answer practice correspondence, operate computer systems, and more.
Our program, aligned with National Healthcare Association (NHA) standards, ensures that the student will be fully prepared to excel as a medical administrative assistant. From mastering patient scheduling to proficiently handling medical billing and coding, our curriculum covers all essential aspects of medical office administration. Upon completing the student will earn a Certificate of Completion from PeeDee Medical Career Training Center. Students will be eligible to take the Certification Exam (CMAA) through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

Course Hours:

This is a “hybrid” class.12 Weeks online approximately 56 hours (approximately 56 hours online lecture)

Course Schedule 2025:

4 in person classes over the 12 weeks (12 hours in person classes)
8 hour clinical (8 hour Clinical) total of 76 hours

If students wish to cancel enrollment, it must be done in writing. PDMCTC must be contacted within 3 business days of signing the enrollment agreement to receive a full Refund. After the 3rd day, $100.00 will be retained for the registration fee. The refund of payment may take up to 40 days.

Complete a 2 step TB skin test prior to clinical
